According to Brahma Puran, desires of the family, in the form of happiness, health, education and wealth, becomes a success only by seeking blessings from our elders of the house and our forefathers. This puja is a way of interacting with our manes and receiving their blessings. Pitra Santushti Sadhna is a tool to welcome the grace of our forefathers and make them happy to keep us blessed. Elders are the heart of any family and it’s our responsibility to revere them and pay homage by performing this puja.
Significance of this puja:
As stated in the Garudh Puran, the soul of our ancestors is satisfied with their favourite food offered to them during shradhs. It is believed that the manes visit their offspring’s home and happily accept their love in the form of food and other tributes. Performing this puja to seek their ancestor’s blessings leads to the blissful life of native and he is never deprived of any materialistic and spiritual comfort. His family becomes an epitome of success and, prosperity stays at their doors, forever.
How will this puja be done by Shubhpuja?
Highly experienced and Vedic Shubhpuja Acharyas will conduct the ceremony (Saadhna) by chanting the following mantra;
ll Om Shree Sarva Pitra Dosh Nivaranaya kalera Han Han Suru Shanti Dohi Dohi Fatt Swaha ll
After completion of the saadhna, Dasvanah havan will be done for the happiness of the manes and seeking their blessings.
